It is very important to use it with adequate fluid intake, as this is the only way it can be beneficial.
Psyllium husk flour can be used in desserts, creams, cake creams, fruit jellies and puddings. It is also excellent for thickening stews, soups and sauces. When baking reduced pastries and breads, it can be added to the dough to increase its fibre content. It can also be used as a substitute for gelatine because of its gelling properties.
